Software Engineer I, QA (New Grad) (QA Automation)

Location: Onsite at either the Centennial, Colorado or Long Beach, California location, with travel to other sites as needed. U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance are required; ITAR eligibility is also required.

Base salary: $70,000 in Denver or $80,000 in Long Beach.

What you will do

• Execute manual and automated test cases against full-stack software.
• Document and report software defects in Jira throughout the software lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and reproduce issues.
• Help maintain a growing repository of manual and automated scripts in the Playwright framework.
• Contribute continuously to QA standards and testing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent education.
• 0–2 years of software QA or testing experience, including internships.
• General understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and Agile processes.
• Basic understanding of coding languages, preferably JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Jira ticketing and Git.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance.

Nice to have

• Exposure to automation tooling such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience with API tooling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Motivation to learn and grow in the QA industry.

• Ability to manage time and tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
