Salary: $100,000–$258,000 USD base salary per year

Company

xAI is building Super Intelligence through a full stack spanning Colossus supercomputers, Grok models, and applications including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X.

What you will do

  • Support sales as a cybersecurity and GRC presales partner by joining customer and prospect meetings, presenting the security and compliance posture, and answering technical and control-related questions.
  • Own and improve responses to vendor security questionnaires, RFPs, SIG/CAIQ-style assessments, and due-diligence requests while maintaining reusable control narratives.
  • Build working fluency across AI/LLM systems, model governance, CI/CD, IAM, DevOps, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, cloud environments, and IT and AI governance.
  • Partner with Engineering, Security, Legal, and Product to keep questionnaire content, Trust Center materials, and security collateral current.
  • Translate customer security requirements into internal actions, distinguish reasonable commitments from out-of-scope demands, and contribute to third-party risk and vendor security processes.
  • Identify questionnaire patterns and deal blockers, provide status updates to sales leadership and GRC stakeholders, and feed customer assurance insights into product, engineering, and GRC roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or an engineering/STEM field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, GRC, third-party risk management, security assurance, or a closely related role with customer-facing or sales-adjacent responsibilities.
  • Experience completing or owning customer vendor security questionnaires and participating in security due-diligence discussions with enterprise buyers.
  • Working technical fluency in several of AI/LLM or ML platforms, CI/CD pipelines, IAM, DevOps/DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud environments.
  • Solid understanding of customer-assurance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF, including mapping controls to questionnaire language.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining cybersecurity and GRC concepts to sales, customers, legal, and engineering audiences.

Nice to have

  • 7+ years of cybersecurity, GRC, third-party risk, or customer trust/security assurance experience.
  • Presales security, security solutions engineering, customer trust, or sales-enablement GRC experience at a technology, cloud, or AI company.
  • Experience with vendor risk management programs, including onboarding assessments, continuous monitoring, contract security exhibits, and residual-risk reporting.
  • Familiarity with AI governance topics such as model data handling, prompt/output controls, training-data boundaries, ISO 42001, NIST AI RMF, and the EU AI Act.
  • Experience maintaining a Trust Center, security FAQ library, or questionnaire knowledge base; familiarity with Vanta, Drata, or similar GRC platforms.
  • Ability to read architecture diagrams, IAM models, and pipeline/Kubernetes designs and turn them into accurate customer narratives.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving deal cycles while protecting accuracy and confirming details with engineering when necessary.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and CCPA in enterprise security and vendor assessments.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CTPRP, CIPT, CIPP/US, or similar.
  • Experience supporting public sector, financial services, or other highly regulated customer diligence processes.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on Super Intelligence products spanning infrastructure, models, and applications.
  • Benefits include equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage.
  • Access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short- and long-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
  • Additional discounts and perks are provided.
