Senior GRC Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid; work from the Mexico City or San Francisco office three days per week. Must hold a Mexican Tax ID (RFC) or dual Mexican citizenship.

Salary: $120K–$185K per year, plus potential equity and bonus.

What you will do

• Manage, monitor, and continuously improve information security controls for the Mexico region.
• Act as a point of contact for Mexican government and regulatory bodies, customers, partners, and vendors.
• Design and maintain security policies, standards, metrics, dashboards, reports, and audit evidence.
• Balance regional regulatory requirements with global information security standards.
• Use AI and automation to streamline compliance, security operations, reporting, and communications.
• Drive security and compliance initiatives independently while combining strategic ownership with hands-on execution.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of cybersecurity experience and the ability to work independently.
• Mexican Tax ID (RFC) or dual Mexican citizenship required.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish required.
• Deep knowledge of PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and comparable compliance and control frameworks.
• Experience with security controls, policy creation, audits, documentation, and complex cloud environments.
• Ability to act as a security compliance subject matter expert for the Mexico region.

Nice to have

• Fintech, financial services, payments, or Mexican and LATAM compliance experience.
• Experience applying AI and automation to compliance or security operations.
• Cybersecurity degree or certification such as BS, MS, CISSP, CEH, or CISA.
• Project management experience delivering initiatives without relying on traditional methodologies.
