What you will do

• Act as the regional anchor for Mexico City, prioritizing region-specific regulatory requirements while integrating with global efforts.
• Serve as the primary trusted contact for Mexican regulatory bodies, customers, partners, and vendors.
• Design, implement, and monitor security controls, ensuring continuous refinement and iteration.
• Implement AI and automation to streamline compliance tasks, including reporting and communications.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, reporting metrics, and dashboards.
• Execute hands-on security tasks within the region and drive independent project initiatives.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of cybersecurity experience with a proven ability to execute independently.
• Must hold a Mexican Tax ID (RFC) or have dual Mexican citizenship.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Deep knowledge of PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC2, and similar compliance and control frameworks.
• Strong familiarity with Information Security concepts and experience with complex cloud environments.
• Prior experience in the fintech, financial services, or payments industry.

Nice to have

• Industry-leading security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISA, or a degree in Cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of security compliance specific to the Mexican or LATAM region.
