Chief Information Security Officer (AI Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid, San Bruno, California, United States; other listed locations include Boston, Mountain View, and Raleigh.

Salary: US base salary of $243,000–$365,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set the security strategy and roadmap for external products and internal corporate systems.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a 20-person team of technical security professionals.
• Scale and adopt AI-driven security tools and automation with engineering to improve operational security, product security, and data privacy.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Clinical, Regulatory and Quality, IT, Legal, Finance, Commercial, and hirify.global leadership teams.
• Represent hirify.global externally with key customers, security organizations, and industry colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressive management experience in security engineering and/or information security organizations.
• At least 10 years of technical experience in software, security, and relevant tools.
• At least 5 years of experience with cloud and enterprise security systems, including pre-sales and post-sales customer engagements.
• Proven success integrating security teams with software engineering groups and driving innovation.
• Experience establishing a company-wide security strategy spanning products, corporate systems, employees, and customers.
• Direct experience with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Direct experience with Okta, CrowdStrike, Wiz, Snyk, or equivalent tools, plus hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• 5 or more years of experience in healthcare, including familiarity with HIPAA and state consumer health privacy laws.
• Board-level exposure and leadership confidence.
• Direct experience with FedRAMP and GDPR.
• Leadership responsibility for a governance, risk, and compliance function.
