Project Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Harbor City, California, US; U.S. work authorization and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Lead engineering projects from concept through design, testing, qualification, and production while meeting technical, schedule, budget, and customer commitments.
• Develop and execute project plans and Integrated Master Schedules, managing dependencies, critical paths, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program management teams, assigning responsibilities and resolving roadblocks.
• Monitor technical and schedule risks, develop recovery plans, and communicate project status, forecasts, and corrective actions.
• Lead design reviews and oversee drawings, specifications, design changes, product integration, and compliance with customer requirements and standards.
• Coordinate RF hardware development, prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis, technical improvements, and customer communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, RF Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience as a Project Engineer, preferably in RF engineering, aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and executing Integrated Master Schedules, managing dependencies and critical-path activities, and delivering project milestones.
• Experience leading daily cross-functional activities, setting priorities, assigning responsibilities, tracking commitments, resolving roadblocks, and completing projects.
• Experience managing project risks, schedule deviations, corrective actions, resource coordination, and stakeholder reporting.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD software; experience interpreting engineering drawings and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Experience with hardware testing, engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with Cora or equivalent project scheduling and management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF components, antennas, feeds, assemblies, or related hardware.
