Senior Program Manager (Defense)

Location: Port Orange, FL, US; travel required up to 50%; must be capable of sitting for extended periods.

What you will do

• Oversee cost, schedule, technical compliance, scope, risks, issues, resources, and delivery across multiple customer-funded programs and internal IR&D initiatives.
• Manage customer relationships, communications, expectations, and outcomes across concurrent programs and projects.
• Participate in proposal development, close-in capture activities, pricing and work-breakdown strategy, and contract negotiations.
• Develop schedules, budgets, cost controls, resource allocations, project sites, milestone plans, and portfolio gap analyses.
• Conduct requirements and design reviews and ensure features comply with customer needs, technical specifications, corporate objectives, and technical roadmaps.
• Oversee IR&D execution and proactively develop revenue-growth opportunities supporting future capture and emerging capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; Engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years of proven program management success, including experience managing multimillion-dollar projects or programs.
• Experience constructing complex multidisciplinary technology programs and managing key performance risks.
• Experience as a capture manager or systems engineer on one or more programs.
• Fluency with Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Nice to have

• Experience with VR/AR, simulation, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to and experience with JIRA.
