Scientist, Statistical Programming, Early-Stage Oncology (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid; primary location in North Wales (Upper Gwynedd), Pennsylvania, USA. The role is available in two locations and is limited to residents of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Salary: $96,200–$151,400 annual base salary for the primary location; annual bonus and long-term incentive may also apply.

What you will do

• Develop, validate, and maintain efficacy and safety datasets, tables, listings, and figures at the protocol level.
• Prepare statistical analysis and reporting datasets, outputs, and submission deliverables for early-stage oncology clinical development projects.
• Perform validation according to departmental SOPs and good programming practices.
• Collaborate with statistics, project stakeholders, and outsourced providers on medical monitoring reports, requirements, validation, and deployment.
• Gather and document user requirements for statistical programming deliverables.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field, plus a minimum of 2 years of SAS programming experience in a clinical trial environment; alternatively, an MS in one of these fields or a related field.
• SAS programming experience with data steps, procedures, SAS/MACRO, and SAS/GRAPH.
• Knowledge of CDISC SDTM and ADaM standards.
• Knowledge and experience developing data, analyses, tables, graphics, and listings for R&D projects.
• Ability to learn new programming techniques and data structures quickly and effectively.
• Ability to take direction, complete project-level programming tasks under the guidance of a senior programmer, and collaborate with key stakeholders and project team members.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation, written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Interest in advancing through development activities and taking on increasingly challenging responsibilities.

Nice to have

• R programming experience, including data derivation and analysis.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical development processes and clinical endpoint data, including efficacy and safety.
• Unix operating system experience and systems or database experience.
• Good working knowledge of reporting processes, SOPs, and the software development life cycle.
