MSS Developer - Stuttgart (Palantir)

Location: On-site in Stuttgart, Germany, at Patch Barracks or Kelley Barracks; must be able to work onsite in a SCIF.

Salary: $135,000–$165,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build and maintain operator-facing dashboards, applications, decision surfaces, self-service capabilities, and interactive data exploration tools aligned to J7 mission workflows.
• Develop data pipelines, ontology, access controls, and integrations with external data sources on MSS and the underlying Palantir stack.
• Ensure AI/AIP workflows use a well-modeled data foundation and surface model outputs in operationally useful ways.
• Create automated workflows, visualizations, alerting, monitoring systems, KPIs, and success metrics for mission decision-making.
• Optimize data models, queries, caching, aggregations, dashboards, and applications for reliable performance at increasing scale.
• Provide operator support, document data sources and analytical methods, contribute reusable platform content, and support validation of the FDE&T model for potential expansion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a quantitative discipline; extensive Palantir experience may substitute.
• 4+ years of software or data engineering experience, including 1.5+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, Gotham, AIP, or MSS.
• Experience building dashboards, applications, or pipelines for operational end users.
• Working proficiency in ontology design and pipeline authoring using PySpark, Code Repositories, or Pipeline Builder.
• Active US government security clearance.
• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain higher-level clearances, including TS/SCI, when required by project assignment.

Nice to have

• Prior Palantir FDE/FDSE or comparable customer-embedded experience.
• Hands-on MSS experience, AIP agent experience, or large language model workflow exposure.
• Familiarity with DoD data environments and classified networks.
• Prior Combatant Command support.
• Solid Python and SQL skills, with familiarity in JavaScript or TypeScript.
