Location: New York, United States

Base salary: $150,000–$225,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead capital-raising efforts, with a particular focus on securing commitments from international investors.
• Identify prospective institutional investors through existing and new networks, and develop relationships with current investors to assess opportunities for increased allocations.
• Lead investor communications, presentations, meetings, marketing materials, monthly distributions, annual update letters, and responses to investor queries.
• Develop and refine a long-term marketing strategy and detailed plan aligned with future fundraising needs.
• Represent Aquatic at industry events and travel domestically and internationally to meet investors across the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
• Provide market feedback on investor requirements and appetite to support business development, firm strategy, and investment sector selection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, or institutional sales at a hedge fund, asset manager, or similar firm.
• Demonstrated track record of raising capital from institutional investors, including pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and funds of funds.
• Established network of institutional investor relationships. International relationships in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East are strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of hedge fund strategies and ability to communicate Aquatic’s investment approach and performance clearly to investors.
• Experience producing investor materials, including presentations, monthly reporting, and annual letters.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong relationship-building ability, sound judgment, and sensitivity to investor history and needs.
• Strong bias for action, accountability, internal urgency, self-direction, and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Ability to collaborate internally, build strong relationships with the current team, and represent Aquatic’s culture in investor interactions.
