Senior Applications Architect (Palantir Foundry)

Location: Remote within the United States or from U.S. office locations in Arlington, Virginia; Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Chicago, Illinois; Sacramento, California; or Austin, Texas. U.S. territories are excluded. Occasional travel is required for meetings, training sessions, and conferences.

Anticipated annual salary: $150,000–$190,000 USD for candidates based in the United States.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, data-driven applications using modern frameworks, APIs, cloud technologies, and enterprise data platforms.
• Architect end-to-end solutions covering data ingestion, transformation, modeling, analytics, and user-facing applications.
• Develop relational, semantic, and ontology-based data models; integrate multiple data sources; and establish data quality, governance, and traceability.
• Contribute directly to application development, integrations, testing, debugging, performance optimization, and technical troubleshooting using React, TypeScript, Python, SQL, and REST APIs.
• Build reusable components, integration patterns, reference architectures, decision-support applications, workflow automation, and platform-native AI/ML capabilities where appropriate.
• Design and implement Palantir Foundry/Vantage solutions, including data pipelines, ontology models, object types, relationships, actions, permissions, and Workshop applications.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Public Health, Public Policy, or a related field with at least seven years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least ten years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing, architecting, and implementing enterprise-scale applications, data platforms, and integrated technology solutions.
• Experience developing and deploying secure, scalable software applications, system integrations, and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience designing and implementing data architectures, data models, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and analytics solutions.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary teams to deliver technology solutions supporting business, operational, research, or analytical objectives.
• Experience applying SDLC methodologies, including Agile development practices, to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Experience with modern software engineering technologies and frameworks, application development, database technologies, and enterprise platforms.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, including data integration, ontology design, application development, and analytics capabilities.
• Strong solution architecture, systems-thinking, software engineering, technical problem-solving, data architecture, and data modeling skills, including relational, semantic, and ontology-based approaches.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, APIs, enterprise data platforms, and modern application development frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex business, operational, and research requirements into intuitive applications, analytics, and decision-support solutions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, organizational, and project management skills, including the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to mentor technical staff, promote best practices, and contribute to reusable architectures, standards, and implementation patterns.
• Current U.S. work authorization on a full-time basis is required. Depending on project work, certain residency requirements may apply.
