Pricing Analyst – Cost and Scheme Optimization (Fintech)

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria — office; Varna, Bulgaria — hybrid.

What you will do

• Build and maintain a complete record of interchange, scheme, and processing costs across card schemes.
• Review scheme announcements, fee guides, and updates; identify cost changes and update pricing inputs.
• Validate cost data and reconcile scheme invoices against expected charges to maintain pricing model integrity.
• Build, optimize, and refine technical pricing models to detect anomalies and monitor cost variance.
• Model the P&L impact of scheme cost changes across the tariff portfolio, including quarterly updates and renegotiations.
• Develop processing improvements and tooling, and collaborate with Finance and Pricing teams on pricing strategy and business decisions.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in payments, pricing, finance, or business analysis.
• Strong knowledge of payment economics, including interchange, scheme fees, and processing costs for Visa and Mastercard.
• Ability to interpret scheme documentation, fee guides, and regulatory updates to identify cost drivers and structure pricing inputs.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Excel for data analysis, with comfort performing detailed reconciliation work.
• Detail-oriented approach with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, multitask, and prioritize.
• Experience with AI or machine learning tools for data analysis or process optimization.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• Experience with BigQuery, Google Cloud, or similar data warehousing platforms.
• Familiarity with local scheme rules and regulations.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• Experience with reconciliation or cost accounting.
