Financial Controller - FP&A

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria; hybrid work model with an office-first setup.

What you will do

• Support the FP&A team with financial planning and performance reporting for assigned business areas and functions.
• Prepare monthly performance reports, variance analyses, forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term plans for the Flix Group.
• Analyze Group P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and financial KPIs.
• Prepare and contribute to board and investor presentations.
• Collaborate with local finance teams, finance functions, and HQ Controlling stakeholders.
• With growing experience, coordinate planning and reporting processes, drive process automation and redesign, and implement process improvements with finance managers, HQ Controlling, and C-Level stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Controlling, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in Controlling, Financial Planning, or Financial Analysis.
• Experience in management reporting, performance analysis, cost controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in MS Office, especially for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
• Good understanding of finance systems, ERP solutions, and BI architectures, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and support data-based decision-making.
• Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a structured, detail-oriented, and agile working style.
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; proactive, reliable, achievement-focused, able to work independently under pressure, and an effective team player.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience in a start-up, high-growth, or international environment.
• Financial advisory experience in a Big Four firm combined with controlling or planning exposure.
• Experience in the HQ controlling or accounting function of a multinational company.
• Additional language skills.
