Power Systems Engineer Intern

Location: Spring remote in the U.S.; summer in-person in Austin, Texas. No travel.

What you will do

• Perform network-wide steady-state and short-circuit studies.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Develop Python scripts for engineering and process improvement tasks.
• Work on Electromagnetic Transient modeling projects under the guidance of an experienced manager.
• Build practical knowledge through real-world power and energy engineering projects.

Requirements

• Currently be enrolled in a PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology at an accredited college or university.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Nice to have

• Completed or currently enrolled in power systems fundamentals courses.
• Experience with Electromagnetic Transient modeling, PSCAD, and AI/Machine Learning modeling.
• Experience with AI data center modeling.
