Senior Lead of Physical Security

Location: NYC; expected to work from the designated Suno office 5 days a week. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

Salary: $140K–$190K annual base salary, plus target equity and benefits.

Suno is a consumer entertainment company building an AI music platform used by people ranging from first-time music makers to professional artists and creators.

What you will do

• Build and operate the physical security program, including policies, standards, site security plans, and performance metrics.
• Lead executive protection, travel safety, and event security for leadership, employees, artists, and creators.
• Oversee access control, visitor management, monitoring, guard-force vendors, budgets, contracts, and SLAs across offices.
• Run emergency response, business continuity, and crisis management planning.
• Lead the physical security team and contingent workforce while partnering with People, Workplace, Legal, and Security Engineering.
• Protect the people, offices, and events supporting Suno’s creative entertainment platform.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in corporate physical security, law enforcement, military, or a combination, including at least 4 years leading security teams and programs.
• Hands-on experience with executive protection, guard-force and vendor management, physical security technology, and workplace investigations.
• Experience supporting senior executives with discretion, tact, and sound judgment.
• Experience leading incident response and crisis management, plus working relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement.
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to brief leadership calmly during incidents.
• Ability to think strategically while performing tactical work directly.

Nice to have

• Experience building a physical security program from scratch at a high-growth technology company.
• Event security experience for public-facing or high-profile events such as concerts, festivals, or creator events.
• CPP or PSP certification, or membership in organizations such as ASIS or InfraGard.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, homeland security, emergency management, or a related field.
