Multi-Media Journalist / Producer

What you will do

• Gather and produce content for WHO 13 across broadcast, web, text, and social media.
• Write and interpret broadcast-news copy and create web, text, and social-media versions of news stories.
• Shoot and edit video and sound, operate an ENG live truck, and drive news vehicles when needed.
• Enterprise news stories, report live-breaking news, and produce newscasts.
• Engage audiences as an on-air and online personality while working with station personnel and the general public.
• Handle deadlines, extreme pressure, adverse weather conditions, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.
• At least 2 years of television newsroom experience.
• Ability to work under extreme pressure, meet deadlines, and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to perform desk work, walking, and standing.

Nice to have

• Experience with Final Cut Pro.
• 2 years of news reporting and writing experience.
• 4-year college degree.
