Lead Cyber Security Consultant (CHECK) (UK)

Location: Remote or hybrid from home or the Oxford or Glasgow offices, with required flexibility to visit client sites across the UK. Candidates must have and maintain the right to work in the UK, complete BPSS screening, and may require SC-level or higher security clearance.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of penetration testers and foster a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Lead and oversee complex infrastructure penetration tests in line with project requirements and CHECK standards.
• Lead onsite customer engagements and act as the technical authority on CHECK engagements.
• Review and validate team members' work for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Prepare and deliver client reports covering findings, risks, and remediation recommendations.
• Support proposal writing and scoping across web, mobile application, internal, infrastructure, and social engineering testing services.

Requirements

• Significant penetration testing experience covering network, web application, and internal penetration testing, including leading customer engagements onsite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management, collaboration, and administration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certification: CREST Certified Tester - Infrastructure (CCT INF) or Cyber Scheme Team Leader Infrastructure (CSTL-INF).
• Right to work in the UK and eligibility for security clearance.
• Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
• Prior experience leading a penetration testing team.
