Staff Software Engineer – Engineering Platform (React/TypeScript)

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: PLN 340,000–510,000 per year in total compensation, including base salary, annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate distributed, scalable, secure full-stack cloud services processing petabytes of data weekly.
• Own frontend platform architecture, including Micro Frontends, module federation, frontend frameworks, shared infrastructure, reusable component libraries, and independently deployable capabilities.
• Design backend services, APIs, integration layers, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, reliability, and security practices supporting the platform.
• Define technical direction across frontend, backend, and data layers while driving alignment and engineering standards across multiple teams.
• Drive accessibility, performance, testing, and observability standards, including lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and CDN strategies.
• Conduct design and code reviews, mentor senior and lead engineers, collaborate with UX and principal engineers, and remove technical and operational friction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing, building, and operating complex cloud-native distributed systems.
• Technical leadership across multiple teams or domains, including the ability to define technical direction, drive cross-team alignment, influence without formal authority, and translate business goals into technical strategy.
• Strong background in architecture, security, and reliability at scale.
• Strong mentorship and technical communication skills.
• Deep frontend expertise in TypeScript and modern React.
• Proven experience designing Micro Frontend architectures, module federation, and integration patterns at scale.
• Experience with component versioning and shared dependency management.
