Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Linux)

What you will do

• Own BSP integration test suites in a Python-based framework.
• Run integration tests on dedicated test benches and hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure, validating BSP releases on real hardware.
• File, track, and drive issues to resolution while working with BSP and platform teams.
• Translate platform needs into BSP requirements and tests.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues using logs, debuggers, and bus analyzers across kernel, driver, and user-space layers.
• Read, debug, and modify Linux sensor and kernel drivers, and suggest priorities for future work.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an embedded software developer on Linux-based products.
• Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting embedded systems using logs, debuggers, and bus analyzers.
• Daily professional use of C/C++, Rust, and Python.
• Experience with Yocto-based customizable BSPs, including meta-tegra or a comparable layer for NVIDIA Jetson-class compute.
• Experience reading, debugging, and modifying Linux sensor and kernel drivers.
• Experience writing tests alongside code changes and running them in continuous integration.
• Ability to work independently, deliver quickly, and propose priorities.
• Ability to participate in technical discussions with senior engineers and propose solutions.
• Solid spoken and written technical English.

Nice to have

• Experience running CI for embedded targets with hardware-in-the-loop test farms.
• Experience with pytest or similar tools and test-report tooling.
• Experience with camera, IMU, or other sensor pipelines on embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with CAN or Ethernet network stacks on embedded systems.
• Experience acting as a liaison between a platform team and teams building on it.
• Experience with requirements management tooling and requirement-to-test traceability.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Active participation in a technology community or experience with public speaking on technical topics.
