Senior Backend Developer (Go / PHP) with JavaScript Experience

A product-focused company developing its own technology solutions and building scalable architecture is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer (Go / PHP) with JavaScript experience.

💡 Tech Stack:

• Backend: Golang, PHP (Symfony);
• Frontend: JavaScript, React (no more than 5% of tasks, internal admin interfaces);
• Architecture & Integrations: Kafka, gRPC, Protobuf, REST API;
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis;
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD;
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana.

The team's primary focus is backend development, expanding the use of Go, maintaining existing PHP services, and continuously improving the system architecture.

🚀 Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Golang and PHP (Symfony), with a focus on expanding the use of Go;
• Work with microservices architecture, including synchronous and asynchronous communication;
• Design and implement integrations using REST API, Kafka, gRPC, and Protobuf;
• Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL), optimize queries, and improve performance;
• Work with Kubernetes, contributing to the development and maintenance of microservices infrastructure;
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, contributing to the automation of build, testing, and deployment processes;
• Monitor and troubleshoot services, analyze metrics, and improve system observability;
• Develop and maintain internal admin interfaces using JavaScript / React (no more than 5% of tasks);
• Participate in architecture design, technical discussions, and engineering decision-making;
• Improve existing solutions, introduce new approaches, and contribute to the evolution of the team's technology stack.

👨‍💻 Candidate Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development;
• Strong Golang skills, with hands-on experience developing and maintaining production services;
• Solid knowledge of PHP (Symfony), including experience maintaining and improving existing applications;
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems communication principles;
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and a solid understanding of asynchronous message processing;
• Experience with Kubernetes, including an understanding of containerization, deployment, and service operations;
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience working with build and deployment pipelines;
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana, along with an understanding of observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting production services;
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and experience with gRPC and Protobuf;
• Solid SQL (PostgreSQL) skills, including an understanding of indexes, transactions, and query optimization;
• Basic practical JavaScript / React skills sufficient to develop and maintain internal admin interfaces;
• Ability to independently handle tasks from requirements analysis and design through implementation and deployment;
• Attention to code quality, initiative, independence, and strong engineering problem-solving skills.
