Engineering Manager, Software (Video Surveillance)

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a software team while supporting engineers’ growth and development.
• Collaborate with product managers and peer engineering managers to define roadmaps for product lines.
• Drive organizational change, innovation, and continuous improvements in efficiency and deliverable quality.
• Build a supportive, collaborative workplace where people share ideas, take responsibility, and develop creatively.
• Handle development talks, salary setting, budgeting, recruiting, and other management responsibilities.
• Participate in the department management team alongside five other engineering managers.

Requirements

• Engineering degree, preferably in software engineering.
• Proven professional experience in software development.
• At least 3 years of experience leading software development teams in an agile setup.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with individuals and organizations.
• Interest in developing as a leader or manager and supporting coworkers’ development.
• Experience or interest in driving strategic and technical initiatives, including AI usage.
• People-focused leadership skills, including coaching, giving feedback, identifying development needs, taking action, and following up.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English.
