Java Developer (Insurance)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot for insurance business systems.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend applications, internal platforms, and third-party services.
• Build scalable, secure, and reliable backend services supporting insurance operations and business processes.
• Design, maintain, and optimize databases, queries, and application performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues; participate in code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, deployment, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Frontend Developers, and Product Owners while following coding, security, and development best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Java development experience, particularly with Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• Good understanding of Spring Framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Exposure to or practical experience with React or Angular for frontend development and integration.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server; familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, and modern development tools.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Good command of English.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices architecture and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms such as JWT or OAuth2.
