Senior Business Analyst (Data Quality)

Location: Poland; must work from the European Union region and hold a work permit.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Data Quality monitoring.
• Analyze existing Data Quality metrics, controls, business rules, and expected results.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and support mapping requirements to the new solution.
• Work with business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitate workshops, and resolve inconsistencies.
• Define Data Quality metrics, validation rules, acceptance criteria, gaps, dependencies, and potential issues.
• Support business testing, validate migrated controls, compare results between existing and new solutions, and maintain functional documentation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects.
• Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements and translating them into specifications for technical teams.
• Experience with data-related projects, including data processing, data integration, or data platforms.
• Good understanding of Data Quality concepts, including validation, consistency, completeness, and business rules.
• Ability to analyze existing systems, processes, and business logic.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, developers, Data Engineers, and testers.
• Experience defining acceptance criteria and supporting UAT or business testing.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and manage requirements across multiple stakeholders.
• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking or financial services.
• Experience with Data Quality monitoring or data migration projects.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, particularly GCP and BigQuery.
• Understanding of dbt or similar data transformation tools.
• Familiarity with Ab Initio or other ETL and data integration solutions.
• Experience applying GenAI within the SDLC through defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations for analytical and documentation work.
• Interest in AI-driven practices such as analysis automation, AI-supported documentation, and workflow optimization.
