Associate Scientist

Location: On premise in Chesterfield, St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Annual base salary: $60,200–$100,400. Eligible for a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Develop, troubleshoot, and apply analytical methodologies supporting process development for biotherapeutics, vaccines, and oligonucleotides.
• Perform analytical testing for product quality assessment, impurity detection, and characterization in R&D and regulated settings.
• Develop, transfer, verify, and qualify methods supporting process and formulation development.
• Build proficiency in colorimetric, HPLC, and electrophoresis assays.
• Record, archive, report, and document analytical data in technical reports according to corporate guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with peers and leaders in a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related field.
• Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and productivity.
• Curiosity about how AI tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, strong organization, multitasking, and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work within corporate guidelines and document analytical results in technical reports.
• Occasional light lifting and periods of standing, sitting, or walking are required.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Experience with Quality Systems and Good Documentation Practices.
• Knowledge of the drug development process for biological candidates.
