Android Engineer (Kotlin)

Location: Hybrid, London, United Kingdom; 12-month fixed-term contract

What you will do

• Shape the technical roadmap for data integrations, application architecture, and scalability efforts.
• Enhance the architecture of a large Kotlin Android application to keep it maintainable, scalable, and modern.
• Build, maintain, and optimize marketing technology integrations, including attribution SDKs, measurement tools, and deep linking.
• Improve application reliability, performance, and testability while simplifying complex parts of the codebase.
• Use data and diagnostics to identify issues, validate improvements, and optimize end-user and developer experiences.
• Share technical knowledge and help establish engineering practices across multiple squads.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable, modern, high-performing Android applications.
• Proven experience improving the architecture of an established Android application.
• Strong proficiency in maintainable Kotlin code, with a strong focus on testing, reliability, and performance.
• Hands-on experience with mobile analytics or attribution integrations, such as Firebase or attribution SDKs.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, marketing, and data stakeholders and explain technical decisions clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience working across Android applications and supporting backend services, including server-side Java.
• Interest in improving developer experience, infrastructure, and internal tooling.
• Familiarity with creating and contributing to shared Android infrastructure.
• Experience refining end-user experiences through data-driven insights.
