Vice President–Due Diligence (ABS) Origination & Credit Analysis (Asset-Backed Securities)

Location: New York, NY

Annual full-time base salary: $175,000–$210,000. Certain positions may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Support origination and execution across a broad range of asset-backed securities asset classes, including esoteric sectors.
• Conduct corporate, financial, and credit analysis of issuers and counterparties, including reviews of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Partner with senior bankers, front-office teams, risk professionals, product control, and other internal stakeholders to evaluate transaction structures and financing opportunities.
• Support client coverage across a portfolio of ABS clients and prospective issuers.
• Prepare credit memoranda, transaction analyses, market updates, and presentation materials.
• Evaluate transaction performance, collateral quality, securitization structures, and portfolio monitoring requirements throughout the deal lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 7–12 years of experience in ABS, structured finance, securitized products, credit analysis, or corporate banking.
• Strong understanding of securitization structures and capital markets.
• Experience analyzing financial statements and corporate credit profiles.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience within a bank ABS, structured finance, or securitized products platform.
• Exposure to both origination and risk management functions.
• Knowledge of esoteric ABS asset classes.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
