Platform Software Engineer

Location: Onsite in Ft. Collins, Colorado, United States; expected to work primarily from an HPE office.

Annual base salary: USD 132,500–252,500 in Colorado, United States. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Lead multiple project teams and internal or outsourced development partners through the design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration of complex software products and platforms.
• Manage relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
• Review designs and project activities for compliance with software systems development standards, providing feedback to improve quality and reduce failure risk.
• Provide software systems expertise and leadership for cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Drive the integration of new technologies into software systems design projects.
• Guide and mentor less-experienced staff members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• Typically 6–10 years of experience.
• Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages.
• Experience designing the overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions.
• Experience designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into an overall architecture.
• Experience evaluating software systems testing forms, processes, and methodologies, including writing and executing test plans, debugging, and using testing scripts and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English and the local language.
• Ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals effectively and negotiate options at senior management levels.
