Industrial Architect (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Kinston, North Carolina, United States; 5% domestic and international travel required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead industrial performance, production flow, industrial structure breakdown, process definition, technology selection, transportation and handling, line design, and ramp-up activities.
• Analyze plant performance data, establish KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement continuous improvement measures across the industrial system.
• Identify and demonstrate manufacturing technologies, validate production processes, and rapidly develop corrective solutions for production issues.
• Lead Technical Specialist teams covering Quality, EQN management, DQN management, Process Engineering, and Shopfloor Support.
• Define assembly strategies, specify and validate assembly tools and equipment, and ensure geometric tolerances and process efficiency.
• Manage risks and opportunities, implement mitigation plans, support configuration standards, and coordinate with stakeholders and other hirify.global plants.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience in a Manufacturing Engineering environment.
• Strong background in Production Planning systems and knowledge of SAP principles.
• Strong understanding of metallic and composite manufacturing, assembly techniques, and treatment processes.
• Experience implementing manufacturing or assembly technologies.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement environments.
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering toolsets, including SAP and MES.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, or equivalent tools.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 5% of the time, independently and at short notice.

Nice to have

• BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Master's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Working knowledge and application of Business Management Systems and Quality Management Systems.
• General knowledge of FAA, EASA, and ICAO requirements.
