Senior Buyer (East Coast)

Location: Onsite five days per week at the Santa Ana, CA headquarters, Jersey City, NJ location, or Plano, TX office; up to 10% travel within the United States.

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead sourcing for injection molded components, including RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Manage supplier performance against cost, quality, delivery, capacity, risk, and continuity expectations.
• Drive cost reduction through resourcing, should-cost analysis, and commercial negotiations.
• Partner with engineering and operations on tooling, part development, manufacturability, scalability, and new product introductions through production readiness.
• Coordinate sourcing strategies and supplier utilization across multiple facilities while supporting production planning, inventory control, and timely delivery.
• Maintain purchasing, pricing, lead-time, MOQ, reporting, compliance, audit, and traceability data in ERP systems such as NetSuite; contribute to lean manufacturing, supplier development, and supply chain improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, bills of materials (BOM), and production scheduling.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated experience managing tooling programs and new product introductions.
• Excellent mathematics, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating pricing and supplier agreements.
• Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities across sites.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in multi-site manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with plastics manufacturing processes and tooling lifecycle management.
• Exposure to supplier quality and supplier development initiatives.
• Industry-specific knowledge or certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or APICS.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement initiatives, and/or ISO, AS, or TS standards.
• Experience in global sourcing and international logistics.
