Project Engineer

Location: Bend, Oregon, USA; fully onsite. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families.

What you will do

• Lead small engineering and operational improvement projects from planning through completion.
• Support larger capital projects alongside experienced project and engineering leaders.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers.
• Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, engineering, and regulatory requirements while identifying improvements to project delivery, engineering standards, and equipment reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Up to three years of engineering experience in manufacturing or another regulated industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with project management principles and engineering design concepts.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, or project experience supporting engineering projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or similar engineering tools.
