hirify.global is a venture-backed quantum hardware company building cryogenic infrastructure for quantum computers, including dilution refrigerators, cryogenic RF wiring, and related systems for quantum computing companies, national labs, and research institutions.

What you will do

• Place, manage, and negotiate purchase orders for build-to-print and catalog parts, aligning orders with production schedules and material requirements.
• Run RFQs, issue drawing packages, compare and level quotes, verify pricing, and recommend supplier awards.
• Track supplier commit dates, expedite critical parts, identify delivery risks, and coordinate recovery options for delayed orders.
• Manage supplier onboarding, purchase order changes, discrepancies, nonconformances, returns, and replacement parts.
• Administer purchasing and inventory data in the ERP, including item masters, vendor records, pricing, reports, and system adoption activities.
• Support material planning, shortage tracking, forecasting, supplier scorecards, sourcing, cost reduction, and purchasing process improvements.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience as a buyer, purchasing agent, or material planner, ideally in a manufacturing or hardware environment.
• Hands-on experience placing and managing purchase orders in an ERP/MRP system.
• Working knowledge of purchasing fundamentals, including lead times, minimum order quantities, reorder points, and purchase order terms.
• Strong follow-through, clear and direct communication, and the ability to manage open orders and shifting priorities.
• Proficiency in Excel or similar tools for tracking orders, shortages, and supplier performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and bills of materials.
• Experience buying machined, sheet metal, vacuum, electrical, or other engineered components.
• APICS/ASCM certification, including CPIM or CSCP.
