Senior Director, Clinical Science, Genitourinary (GU) Oncology (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid; primary location Rahway, New Jersey, United States. The role is available to residents of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico and requires approximately 10% travel.

Salary: $210,400–$331,100 annual base salary for the primary location; annual bonus and long-term incentive may apply.

What you will do

• Lead Clinical Science strategy across multiple genitourinary oncology studies, programs, and assets.
• Provide scientific input on development opportunities, portfolio risks, study planning, protocol design, endpoints, eligibility criteria, and biomarker strategy.
• Interpret clinical data across studies, cohorts, and assets and integrate insights for development and governance decisions.
• Standardize Clinical Science approaches, medical data review practices, scientific deliverables, and disease-area working standards.
• Partner with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Data Management, Drug Safety, Translational Medicine, Medical Affairs, and other functions.
• Manage, coach, and develop Directors, Principal Scientists, and Clinical Scientists while leading through a matrix environment.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific or healthcare degree, such as a PhD or PharmD, with 8+ years of pharmaceutical, clinical drug development, and/or medical field experience; or a master’s degree, preferably in life sciences, with 12+ years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree, preferably in life sciences, with 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience in Clinical Development, Clinical Science, clinical drug development, or a related function within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Experience providing Clinical Science leadership across multiple studies, programs, or assets.
• Deep expertise in genitourinary cancers, including disease biology, current and emerging treatment landscapes, clinically relevant endpoints, and scientific considerations affecting development.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, clinical development strategy, clinical data review, and oncology data interpretation.
• Experience contributing to disease-area strategy, portfolio discussions, cross-program planning, regulatory submissions, safety reviews, or health authority interactions.
• Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment and integrating information across studies and programs.
• Excellent communication, influence, and executive presentation skills.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including management, coaching, and development of scientific staff.

Nice to have

• Leadership experience in oncology trials and people management.
• Experience with visual analytics, centralized data review, AI-enabled workflows, or other technologies that improve Clinical Science quality and efficiency.
