Software Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Sant Cugat del Valles, Barcelona, Spain. Candidates must be enrolled at a university in Spain, remain enrolled through the internship, be eligible to sign a university internship agreement, and be available from February 2027 through June–July 2027.

hirify.global Barcelona is a large R&D center and global headquarters for hirify.global’s Large Format Printing and 3D Printing Business Units, developing software, firmware, and hardware technologies.

What you will do

• Learn how product requirements and system designs are translated into code according to engineering guidelines and best practices.
• Support the design, coding, and improvement of firmware and software features.
• Create and run tests, document results, and investigate issues with support from experienced engineers.
• Contribute to reliable internal tools for hirify.global Additive Manufacturing R&D teams.
• Share progress, ask questions, and collaborate with team members to solve technical challenges.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Currently enrolled at a university in Spain through the end of the internship and eligible to sign an internship agreement with the university.
• Available to start in February 2027 and continue through June–July 2027.
• Good understanding of C++ and Python.
• Good understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of commonly used AI tools and familiarity with agentic development.
• Strong analytical capacities, teamwork skills, self-organization, responsibility, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Fluency in English.
