Software Engineer (PHP/Laravel)

Location: Athens, Greece; hybrid work from the Pallini office and home

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and improve web applications and internal software platforms using PHP, Laravel, and JavaScript.
• Build scalable and reliable solutions, RESTful APIs, and integrations between systems and platforms.
• Implement workflow automations using Power Automate and RPA technologies.
• Work with relational databases, data management, system integration, and GIS-related mapping applications for telecommunications network operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and document technical requirements.
• Contribute to deployment, testing, troubleshooting, code quality, maintainability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of PHP 8.0+ and Laravel.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development technologies.
• Familiarity with Vue.js and MVC architecture.
• Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, or similar systems.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server environments, version control, CI/CD practices, and containerization technologies.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication skills in Greek and English, collaboration, ownership, and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Bash scripting, or WordPress.
• Knowledge of Docker, Podman, Jenkins, Gitea, or Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate or RPA solutions.
• Familiarity with GIS technologies, particularly ESRI ArcGIS.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Exposure to telecommunications networks or network-related applications.
