Production Manager (Electronics Manufacturing)

Location: Stockport, Manchester, United Kingdom. Onsite.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations and ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective, on-time, and high-quality product delivery.
• Define and execute operational strategies supporting business growth, productivity, customer satisfaction, and long-term competitiveness.
• Manage performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, production planning, capacity, resources, and material flow.
• Drive lean manufacturing, data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, productivity, cost optimization, and working capital improvements.
• Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and HSE standards while managing operational budgets and risk.
• Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing teams and collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Commercial, customers, suppliers, and external partners.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in manufacturing or operations within a dynamic and growing environment.
• Proven experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to establish, optimize, and govern manufacturing systems and processes.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and manufacturing performance data.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and inventory management systems.
• Proven experience leading, developing, and engaging teams, including performance management and talent development.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and balance competing priorities.
• Experience driving performance through KPIs, operational reviews, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience in electronics and/or electromechanical manufacturing environments, including managing outsourced manufacturing partners such as PCB assembly suppliers.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing HSE requirements and risk management practices.
