Early Career - Embedded Software Engineer (m/f) (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Participate in the detailed design and implementation of embedded software code and standardized DHS modules for satellite missions.
• Write test plans, execute procedures, and validate software according to strict space standards.
• Deliver software modules and documentation to internal international customers and support their integration into central satellite software.
• Verify complete implementation of software requirements and propose common, reusable solutions that extend customer needs.
• Analyze failure reports, respond to technical requests, and contribute to anomaly investigations and troubleshooting of high-reliability systems.
• Improve designs, technologies, ways of working, and department performance while managing activities against schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Recently graduated with a Master’s degree or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of low-layer software, including operating systems such as Linux or Unix and computer and processor architectures.
• Familiarity with the V-cycle development process.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
• Basic understanding of design methods such as UML.
• Curiosity, proactivity, and readiness to engage with complex technical challenges.
• Ability to break down problems and find logical solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
• Good communication skills and comfortable working in English.
• Security clearance is required, or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities is required.
