Improve Localization Monitoring Safety Function - Internship (Autonomous Vehicles) (Embedded Software/Autonomous Vehicles): Developing localization monitoring strategies based on odometry and IMU sensors for a high-integrity autonomous vehicle safety platform with an accent on diagnostic coverage, simulation, and embedded ECU implementation. Focus on designing monitoring algorithms, validating them through Software-in-the-Loop/Hardware-in-the-Loop testing, and conducting tests on a real vehicle.
Location: Toulouse, France; hybrid work with 2 remote days per week
Compensation: €1,200 gross per month, plus restaurant vouchers and CSE benefits

develops autonomous vehicle technology for heavy-duty driverless vehicles used in airports, logistics, and industrial sites. Its EZShield team develops high-integrity software and hardware for safe execution of autonomous driving functions.
What you will do
- Model localization monitoring strategies based on odometry and IMU sensors to improve diagnostic coverage.
- Simulate monitoring algorithms in a virtual environment and evaluate their behavior and safety performance.
- Implement monitoring software for a high-integrity real Electronic Control Unit.
- Run Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulated tests to verify system robustness.
- Conduct vehicle-level tests in Toulouse to tune monitoring parameters and validate the complete safety solution.
Requirements
- Student in computer science or embedded software engineering.
- Skills in embedded software, C programming, Python, Git, and Linux.
- English and French language skills required.
- Team spirit, autonomy, and curiosity.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with positioning and localization technologies such as IMU and GNSS.
