GCP Data Engineer

Location: Poland; work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

What you will do

• Build and develop data pipelines and ELT processes.
• Implement Data Quality metrics in dbt and migrate Data Quality controls from the legacy environment.
• Prepare mappings between existing and target solutions and develop controls using BigQuery.
• Build repositories for Data Quality monitoring results and integrate solutions with GCP platform services.
• Optimize Data Quality execution performance and support technical and business testing.
• Contribute to technical and operational documentation while working with Data Modelers, Business Analysts, and Test Engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, including building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data migration and transformation activities, modern data platforms, and data processing workflows.
• Strong SQL skills and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of Data Quality monitoring concepts.
• Experience with system integrations.
• Experience with GCP, including BigQuery, and dbt Core.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Eligibility to work from the European Union region and possession of a work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating legacy data solutions to cloud environments.
• Experience in banking or other regulated industries.
• Familiarity with testing and validation of data solutions.
• Experience creating technical documentation.
