AI & Automation Engineer

Location: Remote from Kazakhstan

hirify.global is a global travel-tech company developing online booking platforms and travel products for tourists, travel agents, and business-trip organizers.

What you will do

• Build and maintain Python automations for marketing and commercial workflows, using third-party AI models where useful.
• Develop company-enrichment, partner-classification, and scoring pipelines, and contribute to retrieval and chatbot workflows under the team lead’s direction.
• Translate business requests into tasks and acceptance criteria; define baselines and evaluation sets before implementation.
• Compare approaches using the same data, reporting quality, limitations, uncertainty, and cost per result.
• Use AI coding agents while reviewing generated code, integrations, and consistency with prior decisions; apply deterministic rules where appropriate.
• Prepare code reviews, tests, documentation, configuration, operating procedures, deployment, handover, and delivery tracking in YouTrack with DevOps.

Requirements

• Practical Python skills with APIs, structured data, error handling, automated tests, and the ability to explain, debug, and revise AI-assisted code.
• Experience using LLM APIs and AI coding tools; understanding of structured outputs, retrieval, tool use, and when deterministic logic is preferable to model calls.
• Ability to define evaluation criteria, build baselines, inspect errors, compare quality and per-unit cost, and report uncertainty and limitations.
• Working knowledge of Git, code review, dependency and configuration management, logging, and secure handling of credentials and business data.
• Ability to break tasks into deliverable steps, identify missing information, record decisions, and raise blockers promptly.
• Ability to read and write technical documentation in English and collaborate with engineering and business colleagues.
• Conversational English at B1 level or above is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CRM data enrichment, B2B company research, classification, or lead scoring.
• Experience with HubSpot integrations and retrieval-based assistants, including Onyx or similar tools.
• Experience comparing model providers and tracking inference cost, latency, and output quality.
• Experience maintaining production automations, including monitoring, regression checks, and operational handover.
• Understanding of travel-industry business models and partner segmentation.
