Trade Compliance Leader

Location: Office-based in Istanbul, Turkey or Dubai, UAE. Relocation is not authorized; candidates must already be located in the applicable country. Travel may be required up to 10%, mainly in Turkey, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.

What you will do

• Lead trade compliance operations across the Emerging Markets Region and fulfill internal and external customs requirements.
• Support uninterrupted import and export declarations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, and other highly regulated countries.
• Manage trade initiatives, customs processing, and import and export validation for air, ocean, and ground transport.
• Implement continuous improvements and provide local customs expertise to regional and global trade compliance functions.
• Advise customer operations, logistics execution, and other supply chain functions while partnering across multiple workstreams.
• Provide end-to-end regional leadership and supervise the local team of trade compliance experts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in global trade compliance, customs operations, or logistics.
• Proficiency in English and Turkish.
• Previous experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP and SAP GTS.
• Ability to interact with external stakeholders, including authorities.
• Compliance-oriented mindset.
