Junior Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Worldwide; fully remote, office-based, or hybrid work options are available.

Salary: EUR 600–1,200 per month gross; final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Develop individual backend components for a digital livestock management platform under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in designing and implementing REST APIs and integrations with banking, government, and other external systems.
• Identify, analyze, and fix software defects.
• Participate in testing, release preparation, and deployment.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with Java 25 and/or Kotlin.
• Experience developing with Spring Boot 3 or understanding of its core principles; familiarity with Spring Batch.
• Understanding of REST API principles and basic knowledge of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Basic experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka and external system integration principles.
• Basic understanding of security mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0 and mTLS.
• Understanding of idempotency, retry mechanisms, timeouts, and resilience patterns for external integrations.
• English at Intermediate level or above.
