TL;DR

Process Support Engineer III - E3 (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes through customer installations, system diagnosis, repair, and process optimization with an accent on advanced deposition, etch, anneal, and implant technologies. Focus on designing experiments, analyzing process data, performing root cause analysis, and resolving complex customer and equipment issues.

Location: Hefei, China; on-site customer support required; travel up to 25% of the time; relocation eligible.

What you will do

Serve as the liaison between customers and the Business Unit, clarifying customer issues and delivering applicable solutions.
Optimize equipment performance to meet customer process and integration requirements.
Check and approve the operational quality of system equipment and instruct customers in system operation and maintenance.
Perform on-site installations and oversee diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
Develop semiconductor manufacturing processes with customers and R&D teams, including hypothesis experiments and design of experiments.
Analyze experimental data statistically, prepare reports, troubleshoot complex problems, and perform root cause analysis.

Requirements

Knowledge of three or more processes across one or more semiconductor technologies, including Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, or Implant.
Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
Knowledge of best practices, how the discipline integrates with other areas, and competitive differentiators.
Ability to solve complex problems, assess multiple information sources, and apply judgment to develop new perspectives on existing solutions.
Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.
Ability to act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and potentially lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
