Security Leader (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, USA. Wednesdays work from home.

Salary: $250K–$325K plus equity.

hirify.global is building an AI-powered CRM that learns from emails, meetings, customer conversations, calendars, Slack, and CRM data to help companies anticipate events, make decisions, and take action.

What you will do

• Own the security strategy and roadmap, identify material risks, and drive remediation.
• Partner with engineering on architecture reviews, threat modeling, code review, vulnerability remediation, and security controls.
• Define security models for AI agents, including permissions, tool access, sandboxing, data boundaries, and safe execution.
• Build and operate identity and access, vulnerability management, detection and monitoring, incident response, and data protection systems.
• Lead security incident response and investigate the systems, logs, and code required to resolve incidents.
• Own SOC 2 and broader compliance, support customer security reviews, and build the security team.

Requirements

• Previous leadership of the security function at a high-growth technology company with end-to-end security responsibility.
• Experience building a security program through meaningful company growth and adapting it as the company scales.
• Deep technical security leadership with the ability to work in code and infrastructure, set strategy, and engage executives and customers.
• Strong application and cloud security expertise, including attack surfaces, trust boundaries, and failure modes.
• Experience owning security and compliance programs such as SOC 2 and working directly with enterprise customers and their security teams.
• Exceptional judgment in distinguishing material risks from theoretical risks without unnecessarily slowing the company.
• Experience building a security organization, including central ownership, engineering-embedded security, vendors, and hiring.
• Interest in developing security models for AI agents and other emerging systems.
