Staff Software Engineer, Constraint Generation (Autonomous Driving)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA or Remote within the United States; the position may be subject to U.S. national security, residence, U.S. person, citizenship, and export-control restrictions.

What you will do

• Own motion planning features from design through integration to solve on-vehicle problems and deliver safe, smooth trajectories.
• Shape long-term architecture and roadmaps while ensuring timely feature delivery.
• Design, implement, test, and evaluate high-performance software for compute-constrained platforms using modern C++ and Python.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and autonomy teams covering trajectory generation and evaluation, world fusion, prediction, perception, localization, and mapping.
• Work with verification teams on unit testing, simulation, and log simulation for motion planning modules.
• Align stakeholders through design iteration, presentations, and clear communication.

Requirements

• Strong C++ and Python skills, particularly in resource-constrained environments.
• Experience developing code for real-world robotics or semi-autonomous platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work across the decision-making stack, including components outside previous experience.
