Driving Product Team Lead (Autonomous Driving AI)

What you will do

• Lead the team responsible for iterating on the end-to-end driving model powering the L2 autonomous driving product.
• Diagnose high-impact issues observed on the road, identify root causes, and resolve them through data and model iteration.
• Own data recipes, model architecture, evaluation, and release readiness for the driving model.
• Scale model performance across geographies and vehicle platforms while meeting performance and compliance KPIs.
• Resolve model and vehicle interface issues with specialists across the business.
• Write code, run experiments, set technical priorities, and grow a small team initially comprising up to five people.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on technical skills, including Python development and model and data iteration.
• Experience delivering deployed, production machine learning models and incremental improvements to live systems.
• Experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, embodied AI, or another production-focused machine learning environment.
• Comfort balancing deep individual-contributor work with technical leadership and team direction.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in London, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping and iterating on machine learning models for robotics or autonomous vehicles.
• Previous experience managing or growing a small technical team.

Hiring process

• Initial 20-minute recruiter call.
• Two hours of competency and technical interviews covering programming and system design, followed by two hours of domain and technical leadership interviews.
• One-hour final interview focused on mission and values alignment.
