Lead Investigator (Manufacturing)

Location: McPherson, Kansas, United States; on-premise work. Non-standard work schedule and some travel may be required. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Annual base salary: $99,200–$165,400, plus eligibility for a 12.5% bonus target and share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead or co-lead moderately complex projects while managing time, resources, and operational priorities.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and collaborate with site operations to maintain continuous audit readiness.
• Identify high-risk areas, implement improvements, and work with engineering and technical operations to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Manage changes, guide operational teams, prepare resource forecasts, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate cross-team agreements and lead clinical production efforts toward timely, injury-free, and defect-free execution.
• Develop Operations Specialists, review area Change Controls, strengthen compliance culture, enforce safety regulations, and sustain lean management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of experience; or master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience; or PhD with 0+ years of experience; or associate’s degree with 8 years of experience; or high school diploma or equivalent with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in applying statistical methodologies to improve manufacturing processes and quality control test methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and complex data analysis, and to sit and stand as required.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States by any employer.

• Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and productivity, with understanding of responsible AI practices, risk management, and ethical use.
