Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: US - Rancho Cordova, CA (TDY); approximately 10% domestic and international travel required.

Salary: $90,800.00-$121,100.00 per year.

What you will do

• Research and analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, and design constraints.
• Design mechanical and electromechanical systems, including instruments, machines, and control systems.
• Develop and refine solutions for thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical applications.
• Coordinate fabrication, installation, and testing to meet engineering standards.
• Support troubleshooting, maintenance, equipment optimization, and field-performance evaluation.
• Collaborate on hardware and software integration, project updates, and communication of technical findings.

Requirements

• US citizenship.
• Active government security clearance or the ability to attain and maintain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience and experience working on projects of moderate complexity.
• Proficiency in mechanical system design and analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design skills.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and apply engineering principles.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively.
