CDD Operational Performance Manager

What you will do

• Lead risk-based quality reviews, thematic assurance activities, and controls testing across onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
• Assess adherence to AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, and risk framework standards.
• Provide expert challenge on complex CDD decisions, EDD outcomes, risk assessments, and control weaknesses.
• Identify systemic issues, material control deficiencies, and emerging operational risks through thematic reviews, root cause analysis, and post-implementation validation.
• Assess automated workflows, system-generated outputs, data integrity, and AI-enabled processes.
• Collaborate with Advisory, Delivery, Quality, Operations, and Risk teams through governance forums and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in a similar assurance, quality, or controls role, such as first-line Quality Assurance, second-line Compliance, or Internal Audit.
• Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, CDD, and EDD requirements, including documentation quality, risk assessment accuracy, and decision-making standards.
• Experience with systems and control testing, including assessment of design and operating effectiveness across manual, automated, and data-driven controls.
• Ability to independently lead thematic reviews, compliance assessments, or assurance engagements from scoping and testing through reporting and remediation oversight.
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, including clear pragmatic feedback, robust challenge, and practical improvement recommendations.

Nice to have

• Relevant professional qualification in financial crime, such as ICA or ACAMS.
• Experience or formal learning in AI in Compliance, automation assurance, or technology-enabled risk management.
• Coaching, mentoring, or line management experience to support capability development.
