Engineering Manager, Quantum Security

Location: Prague, Czech Republic. Primarily in-office work from the Prague office is expected, except during PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

What you will do

• Build, scale, hire, mentor, and directly lead a dedicated team of software and MTS engineers.
• Establish technical boundaries, ownership models, operational structure, and professional development pathways.
• Lead the end-to-end audit and validation of non-quantum-safe algorithms, libraries, and implementation patterns across FlashArray and FlashBlade operating system and backend layers.
• Translate technical findings into prioritized remediation and upgrade roadmaps, managing dependencies, product impact, and execution timelines.
• Lead technical discussions, evaluate architectural trade-offs, and coordinate execution across EMEA, U.S., and APJ engineering groups with Core OS, Product Security, and platform engineering teams.
• Prepare security readiness metrics, resource requirements, risk profiles, status updates, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, coaching talent, establishing operational structure, and driving technical accountability.
• Strong technical background in backend software engineering, operating system internals, systems architecture, or platform infrastructure.
• Ability to deliver multi-team initiatives and ship complex, customer-facing products through the full development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs with domain specialists, synthesize expert input into clear technical decisions, and structure ambiguous initiatives into actionable milestones.
• Experience using pragmatic Agile practices to improve team focus, transparency, and delivery predictability.
• Exceptional communication skills to build trust, align distributed global teams, including Europe–U.S. collaboration, and influence technical roadmaps across organizational boundaries.
