Senior Data Engineer (iGaming)

Location: Remote, Canada

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 CAD

What you will do

• Work with business stakeholders to identify data-driven projects and opportunities.
• Build, validate, transform, and deliver data to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Develop dbt models using SQL and build or optimize data transformation pipelines.
• Manage Airflow tasks and scheduling, and collaborate with data engineers to resolve pipeline issues.
• Analyze data, present clear recommendations, and oversee analysis for accuracy and informative insights.
• Support adoption of a data exploration tool, hiring and onboarding, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Python, and relational databases.
• Proven experience building and optimizing data transformation pipelines.
• Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain alignment and transparency throughout project lifecycles.
• Pragmatic and adaptive problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with a data exploration tool such as Looker or Mode.
• Interest in sports and consumer products.
