Intermediate Java Developer (Healthcare Software)

Location: Belgrade, Serbia (Hybrid)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and manage Java-based applications.
• Turn tickets into technical solutions, estimate tasks, and help break down larger work items.
• Review fixes and unit tests for junior developers while writing clean, simple, and maintainable code.
• Debug software and apply design patterns, coding best practices, and API lifecycle management.
• Develop SOAP and REST web services, microservices, and client-side functionality.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with the wider project team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Java programming or development experience.
• Experience with relational databases, including Oracle, MySQL, and/or SQL Server; JDBC and JPA knowledge is a plus.
• Proven experience designing and implementing SOAP/REST web services and microservices.
• Excellent knowledge and experience with TCP/IP and socket communication.
• Familiarity with API lifecycle management and supporting tools.
• Experience with client-side development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.
• Hands-on experience using Eclipse and good knowledge of the full software development life cycle.
• Flexibility, adaptability, initiative, resourcefulness, prioritization, and commitment to professional development.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, fluency in English, and at least a bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
